IN THE BEGINNING:

Smashers Records emerged on the Nigerian entertainment industry scene in September 2007 to stay and make statement in the Nigeria Music industry with the aim of taking the Nigerian music to the next level. Smasher’s Records is a seasoned, highly creative recording label reputed for nurturing and breaking premium fresh talents, Artiste management & promotions. Smashers records presently parades four (4) Artistes on its label among whom are J’Bryte, Obvious, Gini-Q and Obie.

The Album “Infusion” has got the entire Smasher’s Records Artiste Gini-Q, J’Bryte, Obvious, Obie and together they are called Smasher’s Souljas. It consist of 14 Tracks and 3 Amazing Bonus tracks that will demonstrate the realness of Smasher’s Souljas.

Ajibola Sadiq J’Bryte, an exceptional performer, in that he adds rigorous dance routine called crump to his stage performances. His cut looks added with his singing skills has won the philosophy undergraduate of the University of Lagos numerous awards on campus, and haven shot the video to his radio hit “Omo ele”, which is presently rocking the Air Waves on TV & radio stations. Also has concluded recording for his debut album featuring artiste like Igho, Ex-O & Vector, and other upcoming acts.

Born Solomon Onyekwere, better known as Obvious “Da Osula King” keeps his fans wanting more of his music and new flavor and eclectic style that is uniquely his. This unique style, is evident in all of his song which includes his First single "NNE (My Angel), Most Beautiful & the Club bangers "O Make e" and "Wound Somebody". From his soon to be released album (Heart of Imo), already rocking the Air Waves at the moment. The forth coming album has a whole lot of artiste collaborating with him, Such as, Affroholik, Obie, Nyja Girl, Eno, Feeler, Morachi, G-Fellaz, Gini-Q, EX-O and Pash. As it features some of the best producers in and outside the country such as EX-O (Loud Anuff), Vybe Productions (USA),Boma (UK), White Hot Productions ( Canada ),Slantize(USA),Dj Mesta ( ITALY ) & Samklef (Klef Sound) on production.
GINI-Q born Queenette Ginika Ohaeri is an extra-ordinary female Rapper and currently a student of University of Lagos. Gifted with the art of blessing the mic every time she on stage, No female Mc can do Rap the way she does it, she got pace on her flow, Sick punch lines and she’s definitely a crowd pleaser.

She is currently working her Album project which will be released at anytime on the imprint of Smasher’s Records. Gini-Q is definitely here to make her mark and the Nigerian Music industry is about to witness the power of a true Female Mc.

OBIE Da Dream Chyld: Returns Nigerian Dancehall to its pedestal of Prominence. Dance hall music was Nigeria’s principal contemporary genre spinning off Millions of Naira in sales for record companies in the country between the late 80’s and early 90’s therefore being the genre of preference then. Thereafter Hip Hop music swept through the global scene, establishing its dominance and steady growth till date, Nigeria not excluded, thereby bring the gradual dearth of Dancehall music reign. Born Nnaemeka Anselm Nwabuzor is an enigma that is bound to break that cold streak that has pervaded the Nigerian and global dancehall scene. Obie’s debut album titled ‘Dreamchyld’ comprises of 14tracks to be released on Smashers label soon. The album features tracks such as ‘Omo Ele’ a suave chic toast track & ‘Supa Girl’ which are both presently enjoying air play on radio. It also features ‘Fa Ya Gbe Jo’ a key party song, ‘Def Krunk’ ft Frenzy, ‘No Games’ ft Awele Ebigwei and ‘God Saved Me’ ft Mi-Fliss. The Label spared no expense at getting the best of hands to work on the production in the technical aspect of the production such as engineering and recordings was done by Deji Zoawe of Eko Reelmix and Henaus Studio, respectively. Dreamchyld is pure value for money definitely a must have that will raise the bar higher for the entertainment scene in Nigeria and beyond.
